Works of Senator James H Donovan

During his important work in the Senate, Senator James H Donovan understood the importance of technology vis-à-vis the workplace in that due to a lack of training, many people were losing their jobs.  As a result of this, he saw how important it was to add modern technology into the school curriculum.  Donovan would always use the new technology that could help students and usually got it through.  Indeed, he managed to get the necessary monies for schools to get: “Writing to Read,” “Writing to Write,” (GERIS) Graphics Expression Reading Improvement System, (RATPAC) Reading Achievement Through Publishing Activities, (TNT) Technologies Network Ties, “Starlab” planetariums that could be transported among schools, and financing for the automation and renovation of school libraries. Donovan placed these programs in dozens of schools in his senatorial district, proving to be a real asset to the advancement of technological education for thousands of students.
